Earlier this winter I heard people doubting whether there would be any skiing in Austria at Easter.
Well, the season just doesn’t want to end… This photo was taken on Easter Monday – a day of perfect snow, perfect skies, perfect pistes and incredibly light powder.
In the morning it was -8C which kept the snow in good condition although by the afternoon you had to be a bit careful where you went off piste as the sun was warming the snow and making it a little unstable.
This photo at Holzalm Hochleger doesn’t really show how far the snow from the roof was overhanging. Why doesn’t it fall off?
